Mid-Century Finnish Design Lamp in Brass, Hand Painted Glass and Crystals, 1950s
-
Description
A 1950s Finnish design ceiling lamp. This lamp has some similarities to Paavo Tynell lighting fixtures. These were the so called affordable Tynells, as not everyone could buy a Tynell, even back then. There are enough similar lamps to this one in the 1950s Stockmann/Orno catalogues so that we can almost attribute this lamp to them. The Stockmann department store sold many lamp manufacturers lamps back then including Orno, Taito, Idman, Itsu, valinte and so on.
This lamp is in good vintage condition. It has 3 light points with hand painted and decorated opal glass shades. The middle stem has three crystals hanging from it by brass arms and beautifully reflect the light. The lamp is in original condition and retains all original parts. The wiring seem to also be the original, but tested and safe for use. All in all a beautiful vintage lively lamp. -
