Description
This stunning Mid-Century Modern ceramic lamp was hand crafted in the United States circa 1960. It features an undulating cylindrical body sitting on a circular cafe au lait base. The curved body has been executed in a dark ecru hued textured ceramic with a wide band (also in a rich cafe au lait tone) with stipple detailing incised into its surface. The slanted neck of the lamp offers ovoid incisions of negative space imbuing the piece with a dynamic three dimensionality. The lamp features a custom textural raw fiber shade in a sumptuous cream tone, as well as brass fittings. With its classically organic Mid-Century Modern aesthetic, this piece is sure to delight discerning collectors of first rate design objects from this period, as well as those with a penchant for all things beautiful.
