Description
This elegant Mid Century Modern chandelier was realized in the United States circa 1950. It features a convex domed form consisting of layers of textured stylized translucent glass leaves that are stacked atop one another creating a gentle and diaphanous diffusion of illumination. The translucent glass leaf shades are secured to the chandelier via clear stylized floral rivet with a starburst pattern of etched striations and a scalloped border. The base is composed of a oil rubbed bronze band that offers a beautiful tonal and material counterpoint to the glass elements present throughout. With its soothing, monochromatic palate and clean modernist lines, this flush mount would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Mid Century Modern to contemporary. It has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent vintage condition. The flush mount accommodates 2 candelabra bulbs offering up to 120 watts of light.
