Description
A mesmerizing pair of hand-blown Murano glass sconces by the acclaimed Italian glassmaker Mazzega, these sculptural works of art embody the innovative spirit of Mid-Century Modern design. Created in Italy circa 1970, their extraordinary craftsmanship is showcased through a dynamic fusion of smoked amber, green, and blue glass, which interacts fluidly with light to cast dramatic hues and shadows across any space. The glass is masterfully textured, its organic surface capturing depth and vitality in each individual pane—evoking the timeless allure of molten glass frozen in motion.
The angular, modular form of the sconces reflects a bold architectural sensibility, while the vibrant interplay of colors adds a sense of kinetic energy and modern sophistication. These sconces are more than functional lighting—they are sculptural statements, capable of transforming an entire room with their presence. Perfectly suited for discerning collectors or interiors that celebrate boundary-pushing design, this pair embodies the harmony of art and utility for which Mazzega is renowned. Newly rewired to American Standards, these sconces accommodates two candelabra base bulbs each achieving up to 120 watts of light. In Excellent Vintage Condition.
