Mid-Century Red Iron Oxide & Dripped Graphite Glazed Lamp w/ Welded Copper Shade

This unique and spectacular Mid-Century Modernist Brutalist Floor Lamp originates from France, Circa 1970. Visually stunning and full of material dynamism and density of patterning and visual information, this piece features a tall cylindrical shade rendered in Copper plated Steel with welded linear dashes allowing for light to emerge from within. The Body is rendered in Hand-Sculpted Ceramic featuring a dripped graphite glaze over red-iron oxide, achieving a beautiful contrast of rough and smooth textures throughout the entirety of the piece. Vertically oriented and occupying space with its elegant use of scale, this Floor Lamp will style beautifully in a wide array of interiors lending intensity and vigorous energy with it's creative and daring use of materials. Newly rewired to American Standards, this piece is in Excellent Vintage Condition.
