Art Deco Five Globe Chandelier in Wrought Iron & Frosted Glass by Muller Frères
-
Description
This elegant Art Deco chandelier was realized by the legendary atelier, Muller Frères, in France circa 1930. It features five globes in frosted glass with stylized cubist floral patterns imprinted into each handblown shade. They attach to a wrought iron frame with a subtle hammered texture. The body attaches to a hand hammered black iron circular canopy via four rectangular iron rods with vertical striations that are separated by sculptural handwrought iron scroll form detailing. With its fastidious attention to detail- embodying a bygone level of craftsmanship- and iconically Art Deco sensibility, this piece is sure to delight discerning collectors of the period, as well as those with a penchant for exquisite objects. The chandelier accommodates five candelabra based bulbs offering up to 300 watts of light. Excellent condition.
