This charming pair of Art Deco Style Alabaster and Polished Brass Sconces originates from Italy during the 20th Century. They feature shades composed of carved alabaster with excellent veined detailing, illuminated by the light of the bulbs. The alabaster shades are lined with polished brass and supported by a curved conical support that extends from a cylinder, which attaches to the round tiered backplates, mirroring the forms of the alabaster shades.

An excellent balance of tones is achieved with the combination of the luminous polished brass and the natural veining of the alabaster. The sconces also include fabric shades fitted over the bulbs, which diffuse the light and provide an additional layer of texture and material contrast. This striking pair offers timeless elegance and will style beautifully in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Art Deco to Mid-Century Modern and Contemporary interiors.

Newly rewired to American standards, these sconces accommodate one candelabra base bulb each achieving up to 60 watts of light, and are in Excellent Vintage Condition.
