Description
The chandelier made in 2018 as part of the firm's signature 2000 Series. A horizontal blackened iron framework articulated with scrolling vines, forged grape leaves, and tendril volutes is suspended from a rectangular ceiling canopy by twin chains, with three custom drum shades in parchment and fabric trim hanging from forged-iron cradles along the lower edge. The ironwork is fully hand-forged, each grape leaf and scroll shaped at the forge rather than cast, with the slight asymmetry and surface variation that distinguishes true forge work. Paul Ferrante, the fifty-year Los Angeles atelier, is among the most respected American makers of custom hand-forged lighting; this 2000 Series billiard chandelier represents a major residential commission.
The fixture retains its original Paul Ferrante maker's label and UL Luminaire certification.
Excellent original condition. UL Listed.
