Scandinavian lighting from the first half of the twentieth century was often characterised by a close relationship between natural materials and functional design. Designers sought to create atmosphere through craftsmanship, texture, and the careful shaping of light. Materials such as wood and woven fibres were frequently incorporated to soften modern forms and reinforce the connection between interiors and nature.

In line with this pursuit, unlike Scandinavian floor lamps that rely on geometric simplicity, this model embraces a far more organic expression. This lamp is distinguished by its organic silhouette and rich material palette. Rising from a circular wooden base, the slender stem is wrapped in rattan, introducing warmth and texture. Condition:
In good vintage condition. Wear consistent with age and use. The item has recently been rewired and reconditioned. The shade was custom made by our in-house atelier. Due to the nature and age of the materials, the item may have marks, scratches and discolouration. This lamp is compatible with an E26 / E27 (standard) fitting. All lighting can be converted for US usage.
