Description
Ceramic table lamp produced by Louis Giraud for his eponymous studio, 'Poterie d'Art Giraud' (Vallauris, France, ca. early 1950s).
Giraud's sculptural works were often seen in thick lava glazes. This piece is a fine example showcasing Giraud's incorporation of a dense volcanic glaze, referencing the incrustations left by mollusks.
Unique three-vessel organic-form in appealing, neutral palette.
Incised signature present: "Giraud Vallauris."
