Round Vintage Flush Mount in Brass and Pleated Silk Shade, Sievä 1970-80s

A beautifully crafted Finnish flush mount manufactured by Sievä in the 1980s, showcasing the restrained elegance that characterize Scandinavian lighting design. Its clean cylindrical form is softened by a professionally hand-pleated fabric shade.

When illuminated, the fabric diffuser produces a soft ambient glow while filtering the light from the three internal bulbs. The result is an inviting atmosphere that makes this fixture equally suitable for living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, dining spaces, or hospitality interiors.

Thanks to its flush-mounted profile, it is an excellent choice for rooms with lower ceilings where elegant lighting is desired without sacrificing headroom.

The fixture retains its original metal frame that is in good condition with only minor age-related wear consistent with use, while the shade is newly upholstered as mentioned. The lamp is fully functional and presents beautifully both lit and unlit.

The lamp is not stamped, but it is almost certainly by Sievä as we have had similar ones that were stamped. Sievä became known for producing high-quality Finnish lighting during the latter half of the twentieth century, combining practical functionality with refined Nordic aesthetics. Their designs often emphasized premium materials, soft illumination, and timeless forms that integrate effortlessly into both classic and contemporary interiors.
