Description
This floor lamp by Sigve Knutson showcases a beautifully hammered and anodized aluminum surface, resulting in a unique texture that draws attention and diffuses light in a soft, organic glow. Lightweight and easy to move, this lamp is part of Knutson's Shapes collection, embodying his desire to create tactile, evocative pieces.
Sigve Knutson is an experimental designer based in Oslo, Norway. He obtained an MA in Contextual Design from Design Academy Eindhoven in 2016. Knutson’s work transcends typical design by encouraging a sensory and emotional connection with materials. Rooted in his exploration of a shared creative past, Knutson seeks to craft objects that echo humanity's earliest handmade items, embracing imperfection and individuality. His approach to design is not about precise replication but about invoking a collective, timeless memory through innovative forms and textures. -
