Description
A geometric pendant lamp with wool felt shade, metal structure, produced by Stilnovo, Italy, 1970s
A lamp always captivates for its ability to cast light and shape atmosphere. In this refined design by Stilnovo from the 1970s, the task of diffusing the light is not entrusted to glass or other typical materials, but to an unusual, natural fabric: a light wool felt. This soft material gently filters the light, giving it a warm and enveloping quality.
The square form of the shade—emphasized by the suspension design—highlights the conceptual clarity behind the piece. The supporting structure is crafted from welded and painted metal, adding a clean architectural feel. The lamp’s overall lightness makes it suitable for a wide variety of spaces, from domestic interiors to professional environments.
Notably, the original Stilnovo mark is present on the ceiling mount—an authenticating detail that ties this piece to the legacy of one of Italy’s most innovative lighting manufacturers. Stilnovo’s history is closely linked to Italy’s best entrepreneurial tradition and to the great designers of the 20th century, making this lamp not only a lighting fixture but a small piece of design history.
Three identical pendant lamps are available. Each is entirely original, bears the Stilnovo logo, and is in excellent vintage condition.
