Description
A Rare and Timeless Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern Neoclassical Desk or Table Lamp in solid brass and attributed to Paavo Tynell for Taito Oy, Finland circa 1935. An elegant design piece composed of a round. circular base delicately elevated on 3 raised rectangular brass feet. A tapered and fluted brass stem unites the base with an exquisite round pierced brass shade. The shade is enameled white on the interior to encourage reflection of the 2 concealed Edison sockets. Overall, this is a piece reflecting rare, delicate concepts and execution which creates a sublime unified whole. It works well in both modern and more traditional residences as an elegant, refined statement defining exquisite selection and taste.
