Pair of Toni Zuccheri for Venini Murano Eliche Glass Wall Sconces

$ 6,400
  • Description
    A striking pair of Italian wall sconces designed by Toni Zuccheri for Venini in the 1970s. These sculptural fixtures are composed of layered hand-blown Eliche Murano glass elements in a clear tone, arranged in cascading tiers around a lacquered metal frame. The deeply textured glass panels, reminiscent of flowing bark or crystalline ice, create a dramatic interplay of light, depth, and translucency.

    When illuminated, the sconces emit a warm, atmospheric glow while the thick molded glass refracts and diffuses the light beautifully.

    Toni Zuccheri (1936–2008) was an Italian designer and artist celebrated for his groundbreaking work in Murano glass. The son of painter Luigi Zuccheri, he brought a sculptural and experimental sensibility to lighting and decorative objects. Beginning his collaboration with Venini in the 1960s, Zuccheri became known for combining traditional Venetian craftsmanship with bold modern forms, organic textures, and innovative techniques. His designs remain highly regarded as important examples of twentieth-century Italian glass artistry.
