Large table lamp by Anna-Lisa Thomson for Upsala Ekeby, having a classic vase form with rows of carved lines, in earthenware with a moderately shiny white glaze, fired to perfection so that the outlines of the carving are highlighted; Sweden, 1930s-1940s; impressed marks partially glazed over (however this is a well documented ALT design for UE)
Please note that the 17" height is for the ceramic base below the socket. Overall height with shade approximately 26" to 30" depending on shade preference.
