Willy Daro's sculptural creations are true works of art. The designer is known for his Hollywood Regency-style lighting, including a range of elegant table lamps, wall sconces, and ceiling lights. Collectors also seek out vintage Willy Daro coffee tables—with their sculptural, sinuous bronze bases, these pieces enhance the sophistication of any modern space.
Willy Daro established his design studio after the Second World War. In the early 1960s, he opened Les Nouveaux Ateliers Willy Daros in Brussels, where he produced furniture for nearly three decades, until the workshop closed in 1987.
Most of Daros's most celebrated designs were created in the 1970s, a period during which he gained recognition for his innovative use of natural materials. The artist's bold furniture featured an unlikely fusion of bronze, minerals, fossils, coral, and semi-precious stones. The works from this era have a luxurious look and feel.
Willy Daro's lighting and furniture add a touch of luxury to your interior. Each lamp, pendant light, and chandelier brings a distinct personality, such as the contrast of a polished, varnished bronze finish or a patinated one. Daro's pieces are sculptures, true works of art. Today,
Daro's pieces remain highly sought after and fetch considerable prices at auction. -

L'Original Gallery opened as Regis Royant Gallery in 1995, and was first dedicated to french art deco. Now we specialised in 1960’s and 1970’s decorative art. We also work with several contemporary artists and additionally we create our own designs. Most of our pieces are made in very small editions or are one of a kind. The artists featured in our gallery are from France, Belgium and Italy. We also work with many interior designers for whom we create special orders.
