1920s Art Nouveau Brass & Glass Pendant Lamp, Ceiling Light, Jena, Germany
-
Description
A charming and elegant Art Nouveau / Jugendstil “industrial” design ceiling lamp from the 1920s. Made in Germany, the body and decorative ring are crafted from brass, while the lampshade / reflector is made of the well-known Jena glass. The shade has a golden finish on the outside, while the inside of the reflector is mirrored. At the bottom it features the original diffuser made of satinized frosted glass, providing a beautifully softened light. A lovely detail: the socket is height-adjustable, allowing you to adapt the light beam.
The fixture is in its original condition. We only cleaned it and rewired it (wired for the US and all other regions). It is undamaged and shows a wonderful patina that only develops over many decades.
A beautiful piece in the style of Carl Zeiss Ikon Jena / Jenaer Astax / Peter Behrens.
Diameter 12", height 22“.
