19th Century Black Forest Wall Mirror With Gilt Bars, Austria, ca. 1880
-
Description
Amazing looking, rustic Black Forest mirror from the late 19th century in Austria. Elaborately handcrafted around 1880 this rural wall mirror shows an absolute unique design: a handcarved basswood frame crafted in the manner of tree branches. Protruding corners and a beautiful large carving on the center top makes this antique mirror a real special one. Stained in a very dark brown tone, the frame is additionally adorned by lovely gilt bars on the inside which confers this rustic wall mirror an unusal elegant touch. A handforged ring on the backside makes wall mounting easy. Another decorative example of a late 19th century Black Forest mirror in our highly demanded rustic mirror collection.
