Extraordinary rustic wall mirror from the 19th century around 1870 in Austria. An unusual piece of a Black Forest mirror that has been elaborately handcarved out of basswood in an exceptional style. The main frame has been crafted in a very artfully, uncommon manner of tree branches and shows additional slim bars on the outside. The dark brown varnished surface accentuates these carvings and confers this beautiful antique mirror this special kind of rustic charme. Another lovely masterpiece in our demanded Black Forest mirror collection, coming to you in perfect restored condition.
