Beautiful example of a large, rustic Tramp Art wall mirror from the late 19th century around 1880 in Austria. Elaborately handcarved out of fine basswood, the traditional frame shows an amazing looking notch cut carved design with protruding corners. The nutwood trimmed, dark brown stained surface shows a shellac finishing and confers this antique rustic mirror a real great look. The mirror glass has been renewed during the restoration process and a small meatl clamp on the backside makes wall mounting easy.
