Description
Cristal Art original exquisite oval mirror model 2727 with green hand-cut, beveled crystal glass pieces framed by elegant gilt brass borders and mirrored glass on a wooden backing. This stunning mirror is hand-crafted with intense green beveled mirrored glass pieces beautifully complimented by the gilt brass trim. The green color of this mirror is an extraordinary vintage green shade of Murano glass no longer seen these days with more recently produced green glass. This period mirror is a quintessential mid-century Cristal Art design showing its authentic age with some loss of silvering to the original mirrored glass. Quintessential in design and flawless in its execution, this handmade Cristal Art mirror would add sophistication and elegance in any interior whether classic or contemporary.
Established in 1944, Cristal Art was an important glass-making company founded by Giuseppe and Giovanni Donna in Turin, Italy. Cristal Art specialized in the creation and design of plate glass furniture and mirrors. Between the 1950s and 1980s, Cristal Art competed with other renown plate glass manufacturers Fontana Arte and Sant'Ambrogio & De Berti in Italy. -
