Description
Cristal Art rare large rectangular mirror with thick beveled blue crystal glass frame cutouts suspending central mirrored glass on a wooden backing, Italy, 1950s. This striking and chic mirror exudes modernism and sophistication, showing a sense of weightlessness as the mirror hangs by its gorgeous beveled deep sky blue colored glass frame. This model mirror is rarely seen on the market and is original in its design and flawless in its execution. This exquisite Cristal Art mirror would add elegance to any interior whether classic or contemporary.
Established in 1944, Cristal Art was an important glass-making company founded by Giuseppe and Giovanni Donna in Turin, Italy. Cristal Art specialized in the creation and design of plate glass furniture and mirrors. Between the 1950s and 1980s, Cristal Art competed with other renown plate glass manufacturers Fontana Arte and Sant'Ambrogio & De Berti in Italy. -
