Mid-century modernist rectangular brass wall mirror with looping scroll crest, Italy, 1950s.

The tall, slender rectangular brass frame is distinguished by softly rounded corners and surmounted by a graceful crest composed of a rhythmic series of looping scrolls. The fluid decorative crest lends the otherwise restrained rectangular form a light, sculptural quality and a distinctly Italian character.

The warm brass retains a softly aged patina that complements the original mirror plate, which displays minor age-related silver loss consistent with its authentic vintage character.
