A Rare and Elegant Pair of Italian Mid-Century Modern Murano Glass Mirrors attributed to Max Ingrand for Fontana Arte. These exquisite pieces combine a timeless neoclassical shield back form with the beauty and transparency of mold blown Venetian glass, welding together tradition and modernity into objects of desire. The mirror plates are hand-beveled and in the form of a shield with a chic narrow profile. The surrounding frames are composed of grey - green Murano glass that has been hand beveled and compliments the mirrored centers. The overall composition is dramatic, yet sober with a refined elegance. A true pair of these exceptional pieces is a rarity. Priced and sold as a pair.
