Description
Imagine walking into a space where every detail whispers elegance and innovation. Introducing the Frank Lloyd Wright Copper Directory Board, designed exclusively for the iconic Price Tower in 1956. This isn't just a marquee; it's a masterpiece that marries functionality with the timeless beauty of Wright's architectural genius. It was utilized in the entryway of the building's lobby to direct clients to the various executive suites of the 19-floor skyscraper.
Crafted from the same copper as the tower's low-relief exterior panels, this directory board exudes a warm, inviting glow and a strong architectural aesthetic that will enhance any environment. Its sleek, geometric lines and intricate detailing are a testament to Wright's visionary design principles, making it a perfect blend of form and function.
It retains the original patina and is still fitted on the interior with the ribbed black felt from the 1950s. Our glass vendor can easily install a mirror into the frame converting it from a directory into an extraordinary full-length mirror. We have a few options ranging from standard silver to a dark bronze mirror. It would also serve nicely as a free-standing frame for a photograph or important piece of artwork.
This is 1 of 1 ever made. The frame itself measures 63.25 h x 45w x 2.75d inches. -
