French 19th Century Louis Philippe Giltwood Mirror

Dimensions: 39″H x 34-3/4″W x 2″D

A lovely Louis Phillippe mirror, from France, c. 1850, with a rich patina that exposes some of the red bole layer below. It features delicate scrolling flowers and foliage in each corner with an outer trim of “twisted-ribbon” decor, and a floral liner that has undergone some old repair. The original mercury glass exhibits some foxing and losses as hoped for with time.
