FRENCH 19TH CENTURY TALL PAINTED MANTLE MIRROR

Sold Sold
  • Description
A grandiose French mantle mirror dating to the 1870s. The moulded frame is painted an antique cream and sage green color with subtle hints of gold gilt. It is crowned with an exceptionally well-carved crest in the form of a wreath, made of oak leaves, with foliate garlands and knotted ribbon details. The mirror retains its original glass that is trimmed in a carved lamb’s tongue motif moulding and that is visible from behind a pierced capsule arcade found at its bottom.
