Rare Round Rose Glass Mirror Model 1669 & Wall Console by Max Ingrand

Max Ingrand for Fontana Arte exceptionally rare model 1669 round wall mirror in rose-colored beveled glass, beveled mirrored glass and brass, accompanied by its matching wall-mounted console, Italy, 1963.

An elegant and highly decorative ensemble by Max Ingrand, featuring a circular central beveled mirror glass plate framed by a slender brass surround and a broad, gently curved ring of translucent beveled rose glass. The warm coloration and substantial thickness of the glass create beautiful depth and emphasize the sculptural quality of the design.

The matching wall-mounted console complements the mirror with its elongated, gently curved form, wood frame and inset rose mirrored glass top, creating a sophisticated and harmonious composition.

The complete ensemble is exceptionally rare. While original examples of Max Ingrand’s model 1669 mirror occasionally appear on the market, this is the first corresponding wall-mounted console we have ever encountered offered together with this model mirror. The mirror retains its original Fontana Arte label to the front as well as a date stamp to the reverse "4 MAG 1963."
