A tall, narrow French fluted giltwood pier mirror with original mercury plate. The fluted giltwood frame with rich patina and subtle wear consistent with age; the original mercury glass is slightly distressed. Circa 1850.
This mirror embodies the restrained elegance of the period, likely designed for placement in a grand hallway or between windows to reflect light and create a sense of spaciousness.
