19th Century Pair of Biedermeier Painted Armchairs in New Upholstery

A pair of Swedish Biedermeier chairs from the 19th century, updated more recently in a pale blue painted finish recalling earlier Gustavian tastes for lightness and reupholstered in a heavyweight fabric of French Verdure inspiration. These uniquely personalized armchairs have a worldly sophistication adaptable to many seating arrangements to lounge or converse; the rectilinear frames and arms are offset by a lyre design in the back over deep and firm seat. The new upholstery depicts a lush tree canopy against a blue sky that recalls earlier French and Flemish tapestry of the 18th century. We believe these to be in good antique condition considering the age, and any visible signs of wear are captured in the photos.
