Description
Available today, this spectacular Brazilian Modern eight dining chair set made in hardwood and beige leather by Celina Decoracoes, in the sixties is nothing less than spectacular.
Each chair features a Brazilian Rosewood, known as Jacaranda, structure with four legs and a backrest and seat with stretched beige leather. The wood has been refinished and displays colorful veins that make the chair look almost alive. The upholstery is new and was done by Bianor, one of our best upholsters in Rio de Janeiro.
The set is displayed in our gallery next to a large Novo Rumo dining table, also in rosewood and fits perfectly (4 chairs on each side and 2 in the corners).
This set perfectly represents the Brazilian Modernist movement in the sixties: Straight lines, leather, and abundance in the use of hardwood. Attached you’ll find some vintage publications featuring this chair.
This effortlessly sleek set can blend into almost any type of contemporary, Mid-Century Modern, boho chic, or modern environment. A beautiful set like this, will add a touch of Mid-Century Modern swagger to any home!
Size: H35.4, W19.7, D21.7 (in) H90, W50, D55 (cm)
Celina Decoracoes was created in 1951 when Munis Zilberberg took over the family business - a small upholstery workshop that worked on refurbishing sofa beds and antique furniture. The name is a tribute to her mother, Celina Zilberberg. Celina Decorações embraced the term "interior architecture" and proposed complete ambiances to the public using the company's furniture, appropriating the mass communication vehicles to launch itself.
Celina Decoracoes pieces have sharply increased in popularity in recent years-- being currently styled by top interior designers across the world. A quick search online will yield a treasure Trove of these pieces being used in several stunning contemporary environments. -
