Description
Introducing the newly restored Bracket-Back three-seat sofa by Edward Wormley for Dunbar—a refined expression of mid-century modern design that balances architectural presence with everyday comfort.
This iconic sofa features Wormley’s signature bracket-back construction, with solid mahogany legs that rise seamlessly from the base and continue up the back, creating a striking floating effect. The sculptural woodwork is both functional and decorative, lending the piece a sense of lightness despite its substantial, lounge-worthy proportions.
Expertly restored, the sofa has been newly upholstered in Sahara Sand bouclé by Dedar Milano, a richly textured fabric whose warm tone plays beautifully against the deep, solid mahogany brackets. Finished on all sides, it is designed to float elegantly in a room, making it as suitable for an open living space as it is for a bedroom or family room.
A rare and timeless design, this Wormley sofa delivers exceptional comfort, enduring craftsmanship, and the quiet sophistication that defines the best of American mid-century modern furniture.
