Gorgeous armchair and ottoman "Amiral", by Erik Merthen for Swedish IRE Möbler from the Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern era. This Brazil-inspired chair features a frame of rosewood and dark brown leather cushions supported by a thick leather hammock. The backrest and seat cushion are filled with down and the armrests with polyethylene. This high-end chair was the manufacturer's flagship at the time. Condition: Very good condition. The leather shows signs of age and use, but has been well taken care of, as the former (and original) owner worked with leather restoration. The frame is in great condition, apart from some marks on one of the wooden knobs on the ottoman.
