Description
A French Louis XVI style settee from the early 19th century, with original gilding and new upholstery. Born in France during the early years of the 19th century, this settee features a wingback topped with a carved ribbon and accented with bead and reel motifs. The upper rail is adorned with stacked ornaments and topped with pyramidal finials. The two arms, along with the back and rectangular seat, are upholstered with a new custom fabric whose neutral tones complement the original gilding beautifully. Raised on four fluted and reeded legs with rosettes on the knees and connected to one another through a twisted ribbon-carved apron in the front, this French Louis XVI style settee will bring an undeniable touch of elegance to any living room, bedroom or foyer. The seat is 20" D.
