Description
A rare matched set of four early production Soft Pad Management Chairs designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller. Introduced in 1969 as a luxurious evolution of the Aluminum Group, the Soft Pad series combines the sleek architectural lines of the original design with the added comfort of plush, individually upholstered cushions. The examples with the 4-star bases were from the earliest years of production and are the most coveted by collectors.
* Design pedigree: An enduring modernist icon, part of the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art.
* Materials: Tubular aluminum frame with polished finish, four-star base on casters, and supple black leather upholstery.
* Features: Adjustable seat height, tilt-swivel mechanism, and ergonomic proportions designed for both comfort and style.
* Condition: Excellent overall, with light wear consistent with age. Leather remains supple and rich, showcasing the timeless quality of Herman Miller craftsmanship.
