Description
A very fine antique Italian walnut bench dating from the late 18th to the early 19th Century. Of grand proportions, it is beautifully constructed from rich solid walnut wood, featuring an elongated configuration with vertical carved wood splats, which highlight the gently curved silhouette of the back rest.
The bench is outfitted with four traditional individually fitted rush seats, woven with precision, which provides not only comfort but also adds rustic charm to the piece. Complementing the seat's natural texture the body is elevated on gracefully curved saber legs, which lend an air of delicate sophistication to its robust structure. Slightly curving arms on either side of the bench offer a gentle contour, mimicking the curvature of the back rest and legs and enhance the overall aesthetic, while also providing additional support.
Suitable for a gracious foyer, living room or bedroom. Its versatility and classic design make this Italian antique walnut bench a cherished addition to any interior style, infusing a space with a sense of history and artisanal beauty.
