A contemporary Italian dark brown mahogany long bench or settee in the style of Emilio Lancia, the Italian architect and designer who was in partnership with Gio Ponti from 1923 to 1933. The bench features a graceful curved back with center stretcher, the open arms extending to form the four tapered, shaped legs, the tight seat newly upholstered in woven off-white fabric with gimp border. The original model published in "L'Arredamento Moderno, 2nd series, 1939.
