Description
This pair embodies artisanal craftsmanship at its finest. Handcrafted in the early 2000s at the now-closed Jean de Merry workshop in Los Angeles, these chairs were originally commissioned by a prominent gallerist and are no longer available to order.
The sculpted wood frames rest on walnut feet and feature hand-tied coil spring seats and arms—an old-world construction technique prized for its resilience and comfort. Wrapped in hand-distressed, tobacco-hued leather, each chair displays a richly aged patina that enhances its classic silhouette. A subtle row of nail head trim along the back adds a refined architectural detail. The feather-down envelope seat cushions offer luxurious sink-in softness while maintaining their tailored form.
A perfect blend of rustic elegance and understated luxury, these club chairs bring gravitas and warmth to any interior, from moody studies to refined living spaces. In excellent vintage condition with typical wear from use. No visible mark. -
