Description
Johannes Andersen, a key figure in mid-20th century Danish design, is celebrated for his clean, organic lines and functional creations. Working with Vamo Sønderborg, Andersen produced many iconic pieces, including the Juliane chair. This collaboration highlighted the quality and craftsmanship that define Danish modernism.
Design
Crafted in teak, Juliane chairs showcase Andersen’s attention to form and detail. Softly curved frames with rounded edges give them a smooth, flowing profile. Tapered legs add a sense of lightness, while the sturdy teak construction ensures durability. The warm tones of the wood create a natural, inviting presence that stands out without overwhelming the space. Reupholstered in a slightly mixed beige fabric, these chairs offer a fresh yet timeless update. The fabric’s neutral tone complements the rich wood, creating a subtle, versatile look that adapts to different interiors. Perfectly balancing comfort and design, Juliane chairs embody the essence of Danish craftsmanship.
Condition
Please note that two of the chairs are slightly different in height but have the same seating height. This does not affect the overall look of the set. The condition of the chairs is excellent with only small superficial marks due to use over time. -
