André Dupré Model 130 Stacking Chairs for Knoll International -sold in sets

Rare collection of Model 130 stacking chairs designed by French designer André Dupré for Knoll International. Available in sets of 6, 8 or 12. An elegant exercise in minimalist construction, each chair features a sculptural bent tubular steel frame with a seat and back formed from tightly interlaced black vinyl cord.

The restrained combination of polished metal and linear black cord gives the chairs a remarkably graphic, architectural presence, while their lightweight construction and ability to stack reflect Knoll’s emphasis on versatile, functional modern design. Equally suited for use as dining, conference or occasional seating, the chairs are comfortable, visually light and exceptionally practical.
The chairs remain in excellent original condition and retain the character of their original materials and finishes. One chair is an earlier version of the design and exhibits subtle differences in its form and proportions.
