MOLOCH BA'AL, KNOWLEDGE ARMCHAIR
-
Description
Named after the ancient Phoenician and Carthaginian god of purifying fire and duality, MOLOCH seating pieces embody a powerful interplay between darkness and light, brutality and refinement. Totemic and solemn, their massive silhouettes suggest raw simplicity, yet reveal finely hand-crafted wooden surfaces, CNC-milled brass fittings, and surprising ergonomic comfort. The floating, cantilevered seat and architectural structure reflect a careful balance of forces, joined with traditional mortise and tenon techniques. Wood surfaces are fire-finished to enhance texture and form — each piece an offering to both matter and spirit. Legs are made with stainless steel screws, brass tubes and brass plugs.
