Description
This pair of Mid-Century Modernist rocking lounge chairs, fabricated by the iconic American designer Milo Baughman in the United States circa 1960, is a quintessential example of modernist design fused with luxurious comfort. These chairs seamlessly marry form and function, featuring streamlined chrome frames with a distinctive cantilevered rocking design. The striking silhouette highlights Baughman’s hallmark ability to blend simplicity with elegance and makes these chairs both sculptural and inviting.
The chairs are outfitted with upholstered cushions in Holly Hunt fabric that showcase button-back detailing, adding depth and texture to their modern forms. The textural taupe hued upholstery accentuates their timeless elegance while ensuring ultimate comfort. The softened geometry of the cushions contrast beautifully with the polished finish of the chrome-plated steel frames, offering a dynamic interplay of materials and textures.
The gentle rocking mechanism, coupled with the ergonomic proportions, makes these chairs ideal for lounging in style. They are perfect for living rooms, studies, or even as statement seating in a reading nook. Equally at home in minimalist, mid-century, or contemporary interiors, this pair of chairs showcases Baughman’s ability to create designs that transcend trends and remain relevant for decades. In Mint Restored Condition.
