Description
There can hardly be a more emblematic Mid-Century Modern sofa than the Milo Baughman semi-circular sectional sofa circa 1970s made by Thayer Coggin. The most well known and admired of all circular sofas, it instantly creates an intimate conversation pit in any setting, be it a traditional living room or an open floor plan layout. It brings people together effortlessly in a more familiar and cozy way contrasting traditional seating layouts where guests face one another in a more distant and formal way. This beautiful sofa is in its original upholstery which is in good vintage condition. Having designed for Thayer Coggin for almost 50 years through 2003, Milo Baughman's circular sofa is an iconic example of his Minimalist aesthetic that sacrifices neither comfort nor function. This circular sofa has been featured in several interior design books and other publications including Architectural Digest (several times over the decades). Exceptional and rare, fun and functional, this sofa is a show stopper that you won't see in many other living rooms. A true gem.
