Description
This very rare armchair was designed by Nanna Ditzel and produced by Povl Kolds Savværk in the mid-1950s.
The Model 113 is an important example of Danish Mid-Century Modern design, defined by its circular, gently curved backrest and balanced, functional form. The solid teak frame is wonderfully executed, featuring round legs that taper toward the floor and give the chair a light, open appearance. Its hand-woven papercord seat is a key feature, adding texture and durability while contrasting nicely with the teak. A separate loose cushion in orange wool is included for added comfort.
Well made, comfortable, and visually clear, the Model 113 reflects the thoughtful craftsmanship of Ditzel’s early work. The chair is in very good, restored condition with minimal wear. -
