Description
This sleek and elegant Mid-Century Modernist Silver Cerused Oak Bench in Platinum Textured Upholstery is by the designer Noel Jeffrey and originates from the United States, Circa 1980. This piece features a clean geometric composition with the supports and body of the piece constructed from Silver Cerused Oak, a process involving applying silver into the exposed grain of the wood before further finishing, creating a dynamic and reflective texture that beautifully displays the material and adds an elegant and alluring quality. The upholstery has a reflective platinum sheen and lovely woven texture, covering the seat and back supports of the bench. This fabric gives an excellent contrast is both value and texture next to the exposed oak which is smooth as silk to the touch. The supports extend at obtuse angles seamlessly meeting the floor, then expanding slightly as they rise, adding strength and geometric balance to the piece. This gorgeous and minimal Mid-Century Modernist Bench is highly versatile, a beautiful piece in its own right with the ability to pair and style well with a wide array of spaces and settings, from Mid-Century Modernist to Contemporary and Minimal Interiors.
