Pair of Swedish 1910s Painted Wood Armchairs with Carved Splats and Stretchers
-
Description
A pair of Swedish painted wood armchairs from the early 20th century, with carved splats, serpentine arms and black fabric. Created in Sweden during the early years of the 20th century, each of this pair of armchairs features a slightly slanted back with carved splats, flowing seamlessly into the hind legs. Showcasing a wooden frame surrounding a simple black fabric, each seat is resting on saber legs in the back and tapered ones in the front, and is strengthened with a cross stretcher. Adorned with serpentine arms and painted in a soft color typical of the Scandinavian taste for light palettes, this pair of Swedish armchairs circa 1910 will bring a graceful presence to any living room, dining room or bedroom.
