Description
A stunning pair of vintage Scandinavian armchairs, likely from the 1940s, attributed to designer Paul Boman. Featuring plush upholstery in a luxurious olive-green velvet fabric with a subtle, intricate floral pattern on the sides and back, these chairs exude both elegance and comfort. While the design characteristics align with Boman's known work, we do not have formal documentation to confirm the attribution.
The chairs showcase a charming, scalloped backrest and rounded arms, complemented by classic tapered wooden legs that embody the timeless appeal of mid-century Scandinavian design. Their rich texture and warm, earthy color make them versatile additions to various interior styles, from mid-century modern to eclectic or classic decor.
Ideal for a cozy reading nook, a stylish living room, or as statement pieces in any sophisticated setting, these chairs offer both vintage charm and comfortable seating. This pair is a fantastic choice for collectors and design enthusiasts looking to bring a piece of Scandinavian history and character into their space.
The overall condition is fair, the chairs show some sings of use especially in the back. Additionally in the back, the upholstery has started to tear from the top of one chair (this can be fixed fairly easily). Please refer to pictures for a better understanding. -
