Description
This set of six slat back maple steamed and laminated bentwood dining chairs are distinctly postmodern in style with tall slatted backrests with a tripod base..
Pietro Costantini opened his business in 1922 and his label has become synonymous with quality Italian design.
The clear lacquered wooden frames expose the multiple piece construction of each chair and the natural beauty of the lightly grained wood.
The chairs's seats retain their original dark charcoal upholstery fabric in a herringbone woven fabric emphasizing the geometric silhouettes of the chairs.
The suite is approximately 25 years old and came from a very good smoke free home in which it was used occasionally on holidays.
The chairs reflect this minimal use and are in very nice condition as is the table.
This wonderful example of late 20th century Italian chair design make a bold statement in any contemporary dining room.
Listed seperately is the Valentino dining table from Cattelan Italia that the chairs were purchased for.
The chairs are in excellent vintage condition. -
