Pair of sculpture chairs edited by Pozzi and Verga in the 50s. The walnut structure and the rope seat are in very good original condition.
Pozzi & Verga: This Italian manufacturer founded in the early twentieth century quickly made a name for itself by producing sculptural chairs that became iconic design pieces. Their chairs were often made of wood or brass, with organic curves and elegant shapes that reflected the influence of Art Nouveau and the modernist movement. Pozzi and Verga’s creations were often considered works of art in their own right. The company enjoyed a boom period in the 1920s and 1930s, before gradually declining in the following decades. However, their legacy lives on to this day, thanks to the lasting impact their creations have on design history.
